Pre-Basel - Arnold & Son Releases the Tourbillon Chronometer No. 36

Known for their symmetry and expertise in skeletonized movements, Arnold & Son doesn't disappoint with their new release out just in time for Baselworld. The Tourbillon Chronometer No. 36, as with all their timepieces, is a modern tribute to the historical high-precision chronometers made by John Arnold.

The overall design, while familiar, having been used in several Arnold & Son watches previously, the TB88, Constant Force Tourbillon and last years Nebula, has been completely redesigned by the brand from the ground up. The watch draws inspiration from John Arnold's pocket chronometer No. 1/36, which, in 2018, will mark its 240th anniversary.

The dial consists of double barrels set on the top half of the watch, and provides a minimum of 90 hours of power reserve. The lower half of the dial displays the small seconds on the left and a one-minute tourbillon on the right.

The watch has been tested to the highest standards and has been achieved recognition as a COSC certified chronometer, a rare achievement for a tourbillon-equipped timepiece.

The Tourbillon Chronometer No. 36 is available in red gold as well as stainless steel, and limited to 28 pieces in each version.
